The 2013 Governor's Awards for Innovative Tourism Collaboration were presented at the Pure Michigan Governor's Conference on Tourism in Detroit. The award was presented on April 15, 2013 by the Michigan Travel Commission and the Tourism Industry Coalition of Michigan.
The Innovative Tourism Collaboration Award for Experience Development was presented to a collaboration of six entities: the Michigan Restaurant Association,
MI Charter Boat Association, MI Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, MI Department of Natural Resource, Michigan Sea Grant and
MSU Department of Fisheries and Wildlife.
Experience Grand Rapids and a collaboration of 59 local restaurants and breweries in Grand Rapids won the 2013 award for Marketing Promotion.
The Innovative Tourism Collaboration Award for Non-Traditional Partnership was presented to
The Henry Ford and Shanghai Auto Museum – China.
